PMT Full Form

What Is The Full Form Of PMT?

PMT stands for “Pre-Medical Test,” which is an entrance examination conducted in India for students who want to pursue undergraduate medical programs such as MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) and BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery). The test is typically conducted by various state governments and central organizations such as the National Testing Agency.

The PMT exam usually covers topics such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, including topics like anatomy, physiology, genetics, and microbiology. The test’s objective is to assess the candidates’ knowledge and understanding of the concepts and their ability to apply them to real-world problems.

Students who wish to take the PMT exam must meet certain eligibility criteria, such as being a citizen of India, having completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination, and obtaining a minimum qualifying score in the required subjects.

PMT has been replaced by NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) in recent years, which is a national-level entrance examination for admission to medical and dental colleges in India. NEET has become the sole entrance examination for medical courses in India, including AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) and JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research).
