MD (Doctor of Medicine) Course

Introduction: In India, mostly MBBS graduates choose the Doctor of Medicine course as a career option. MD course opens a wide range of career opportunities for a candidate in the field of healthcare. MD or Doctor Medicine is a full-time course which consists of 3 years. During the course, students will meet from theoretical study and practical aspect. The entire 3- year is divided into 6 various semesters. 

After Completing the MBBS, candidates are free to choose one of the many specialisations in the MD programme. As you know, the medical field brings a marvellous career choice and immense growth. Once you complete the MD course you can work in speciality hospitals, private hospitals, nursing homes, laboratories and more. Candidates need to be enrolled themselves in the Medical council of India to become a specialist.  The MD course offers various job profiles in India and abroad as well. Some of them are- Physician, Nutritionist, Obstetrician, Orthopaedist and many more.

MD Course Eligibility Criteria:

The students need to fulfil the under mention eligibility criteria-

• To apply for an MD course, candidates must obtain a valid MBBS degree from an authorized medical college/university/institute.
• Admission to the MD course is based on one of the following entrance exams that you need to clear. The top entrances exams are- NEET (National level Entrance Exam) for PG degree.
• To apply for MD specialization, candidates must obtain merit in NEET-PG to take admission in a reputed college.
• Based on vacancies, qualified candidates will be allotted in the respective colleges or universities.
