What Is The Full Form Of IBPS?

“IBPS” stands for “Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.” It is an autonomous body in India, which was established with the aim of recruiting and promoting human resources for the banking sector. IBPS conducts various recruitment exams for various public sector banks, regional rural banks, and other financial institutions in India.

The main purpose of IBPS is to conduct Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for the recruitment of Probationary Officers/ Management Trainees, Clerk, Specialist Officers, and Officers Scale-I, II, III and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in the participating organizations.

The selection process of IBPS includes a preliminary examination, a main examination and an interview. The score obtained in the preliminary examination is not considered for the final selection, it is only for shortlisting the candidates for the main examination. After the main examination, the scores are considered for the final selection, which also includes an interview.
