
The full of ISRO is “Indian Space Research Organization”. ISRO is the space agency of the Government of India and is situated in Bengaluru, India. It is said to be the world’s largest Space Agency. The primary objective of this agency is to increase space exploration for the development of the country while researching planetary exploration and space science.
In 1962, The Indian National Space Research Committee came into existence under the guidance of the Atomic Energy Department by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. It was formed with the immediate recognition of the requirement for space research by the scientist Vikram Sarabhai. Later, INCOSPAR became ISRO. In 1972, the Government of India established a Department of Space and a Space Commission, including ISRO, under these two agencies.
