There are two popular agencies that people wish to work for. The first one is IAS (Indian Administrative Services), and the second one is IPS. The full form of IPS is Indian Police Services, and it is one of the most respectable agencies in India. You might already be aware that IPS is responsible for the administration and enforcement of law & discipline. If you are able to clear the exam and if you are selected for IPS, then you will be posted as Superintendent of Police. This post is also referred to as SP, and it is one of the most influential people in the designated district. IPS also work closely with IAS for better administration and logistics.
To be selected for IPS, you need to be an Indian National, and you need to be at least 21 years of age. In addition, you should have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. If you meet these criteria, you will have to appear in the UPSC exam and clear it. You would also need to clear the physical standard exam for IPS. Both male & female candidates are eligible for IPS, and you can get into it by clearing the three stages of UPSC exams. You can undoubtedly opt for IPS if you are interested in civil service.
