What Is The Full Form Of NSS?
The full form of NSS is the “National Service Scheme”, which is under the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. It is an Indian government-sponsored entity established in 1968 to form the character of younger generations through community services. Simply put, it is a young student group who have studied 12th or is from universities and colleges.
Objectives of NSS
- Enhancing the skills required for teamwork and responsibility sharing.
- Give students a clear view of themselves in terms of their culture and community.
- Help students understand the culture wherein they live and work.
- Forming social engagement and a feeling of human among youngsters.
- Promoting and Practising social peace and national integration.

- The red color indicates that the volunteer is determined, healthy, and enthusiastic.
- The Blue and red color of the logo motivates the NSS contributors to be engaged in social events of nation development.
- Navy blue color indicates the cosmos.
