
The full form of NRI is “Non-Resident Indian. The citizen born in India who is transferred to another country is called an NRI. There are many reasons to be a refugee, such as residence, education, work, or any other purpose. Simply put, NRIs are all those Indian people who live in other countries. According to the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, after China, India is the second largest NRI in the world.
Definition of NRI – An individual who stayed away from India for more than 182 days in a calendar year is called NRI. He/she must have Indian nationality and must hold an Indian passport. It is also authorized as Overseas Expatriates or Indians.
