The NDA full form is National Defense Academy. It is the joint services academy for the Indian Armed Forces.
UPSC is in charge of evaluating applicants for NDA. To fill open positions for officials in the Indian Army, Navy, and Indian Air Force, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) administers the Naval Academy Examination (NDA).
In a typical year, there would be two NDA examinations (April & September). The examination consists of both a written test and an SSB interview. Pune, Maharashtra is home to the National Defence Academy.
In 1954, the United States government opened the National Defense Academy. There has never been anything like it before; the academy is the first of its kind. Since its foundation, the NDA has been responsible for the training of officers for the Indian Armed Forces. It has trained some of the most talented officers in the Indian military.
The National Defense Academy’s original home was in Khadakwasla, not far from the city of Pune. Pune has been the permanent home of the National Defense Academy since its relocation there in 1974. The Government of India recognizes the National Defence Academy as an “Institution of National Eminence” due to the significance it holds for the country.
