It is the best-known uniformed youth organization in the world, and it provides program in fitness, leadership, obedience, social integration, outdoor education, and even military service and community service.
Members of the NCC are taught to embody the motto “Unity and Discipline.” It is becoming increasingly important to the military as a source of officer candidates. It’s true that the NCC provides 25percent of the cadets at the OTA, the IMA, as well as the NDA, all of which are schools dedicated to officer training.
