The full form of NEET is National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test which can be a direct door to confirm your seat in your dream medical college. Before 2013, there was the AIPMT (All India Pre-Medical Test) exam, which is now replaced by NEET. Every year, hundreds of thousands of students participate in this undergraduate medical entrance exam.
To prepare for the NEET exams, you must thoroughly study the 11th and 12th-grade curriculum. To fill out the NEET UG form released by the National Testing Agency of India, you must have at least 50% marks in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) in the 12th grade. However, for OBC/SC/ST students, this marking criteria is 40% and for PWD students it’s 45%. There are no restrictions on how many attempts you can have to crack this competitive exam.
If you have achieved good marks in the NEET exam, then the counseling period will start in which you’ll be assigned a medical college anywhere in India for pursuing an MBBS degree. Once you have completed the 5-year long MBBS course, you can officially add the “Dr.” tag before your name
