CNG Full Form
What Is The Full Form Of CNG?
The full form of CNG is compressed natural gas, a type of fuel that can be used as a better alternative to petroleum-based fuels such as LNG, diesel, and petrol. During the combustion process, CNG produces a very small amount of harmful gases, so it is quite a good option for the environment. There’s no odor in CNG, like LNG and other petroleum-based substances. Because CNG gas contains 80% to 90% methane, it is classified as natural or biogas because methane is primarily produced during the decomposition of biological waste.

Advantages of Using CNG
- Car manufacturing companies label CNG as green fuel because when using it as fuel in your vehicle, the emission of harmful gases reduces considerably.
- In terms of safety, CNG is one of the safest fuel types as it is stored in thoroughly tested and certified cylinders with no chances of leaks. If somehow the CNG gas is leaking through the storage cylinders, it’ll just fade away in the air without making a fuming cloud because CNG is much lighter than normal air.
- Vehicles get better mileage with CNG and it costs quite a bit cheaper than other fuel options. Therefore, it’s very cost-effective in the long run.
