AEIE (Applied Electronics and Instrumentation) Course

AEIE stands for Applied Electronics and instrumentation, an undergraduate course which consists 4 year of duration that includes in-depth knowledge of electronics and instrumentation and control of any process in the term of sensors, circuits, power sources. It is one of the advanced branches of engineering which deals with the existing knowledge in electronics.

AEIE offers subjects and workshops like Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Mechanics, Basic Civil Engineering principles, Electrical and civil Workshops, Network theory, Programming Lab, Principles of Management, Signal Communication, Mathematics, Industrial Electronics Lab etc. AEIE course is a job-oriented programme for instrumentation engineer. They are getting hired by reputed companies like Power electronics companies, Powerhouses, Electronic and telecommunication Companies, Electronics Design and Development Engineer Companies or also they can work as a team leader or Marketing Executive.

AEIE Course Eligibility Criteria

To pursue the AEIE course, you must:

  • You need to complete class 12th or its equivalent with a minimum 60% or equivalent CGPA from any one of the recognized school boards.
  • You must have an interest in this course. It is even better if you have prior knowledge of the subject.

Admission process for the course

AEIE is a branch of engineering. Some institutions offer admission to this course based on the merit secured in JEE Main. Some reputed institutions and universities even conduct an entrance examination for admission. The selection for this course is either by direct entry or through a national entrance exam, like JEE MAINS.

You may apply for this course online or offline. Either way, you must submit your Aadhar Card, Class 10- and 12-Mark sheets, address proof, etc.

Selection process

The candidates who secure more than the cut-off marks in the entrance exam are provided an opportunity to enrol themselves in the e-counseling process. The registered candidates can view colleges and available seats.
