Mizoram University

Mizoram University is a state university located at Aizawal in Mizoram state and was establishes in the year 2001 under the Act of Parliament. MU is permitted by the UGC (University Grant Commission), and affiliated by the NAAC in 2019 with Grade ‘A’. The university offers a total of 51 courses that are dedicated to undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs. It offers several courses in various streams including Commerce, Arts, Social and Humanities Science, Engineering and Architecture, Business and Management Administration, Science and Mass Communication and Journalism.

This university had got 76^th position for university by NIRF in 2019, covers 212 courses and 11 streams under their prospectus. Admission to the bachelor's course is based on the merit list. For Master's course and Ph.D., course admission is done through entrance exams. Moreover, the college authorities offer three types of scholarships – Rajiv Gandhi SC/ST scholarship, MZU-UGC fellowship for non-NET M.Phil, MZU-UGC fellowship for non-NET Ph.D.
