BMS Institute of Technology & Management was established in 2002, Bangalore. It is affiliated with Vesvesvaraya Technological University ( VTU) and accredited with Grade 'A ` by the NAAC. It has been approved by the VTU as an Emerging Technical institute in the state of Karnataka. It is a modern age institute that has excellent infrastructure along with several facilities. This institute offers various courses like B.Tech, B.E., MCA, M.Tech, and MSc. Apart from UG and PG degree courses, it offers a study of doctorate programs in various fields.

The institute has a total of 12 departments namely Chemistry, Artificial Intelligence, Civil Engineering, Electronics, and Telecommunication Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Machine learning, and among others. This modern institute has been ranked at 37^th position for best private engineering college by India today in 2019. In this same year, it has got 51 positions for private engineering by outlook, ranked 51^st for engineering by outlook.
