St. Joseph's College of Commerce was established in the year 1882 and popularly known as SJCC Bangalore. In 1882, it was a part of St. Joseph’s College but in 2004, the college has got its autonomous status. It was approved by the University Grants Commission in the year 2010 and named College with Potential for Excellence. In addition to that, it has secured 8th position for BBA by times, ranked 11th for Commerce by India Today, and ranked 13th for Commerce by the Week in the year 2020. Moreover, the college has been authorized by the Bangalore University in the year 2010 as a research center.
At present, it has a total of 4 streams which are divided into a total of 19 courses under many specializations. No doubt, the college welcomed leading companies every year. Some of the major recruiting associations of this college are HSBC Bank, Google, American, and others.
