
The full form of UPSC is Union Public Service Commission, a national commission of national importance. This is the sole exam that is used for the selection of IAS Candidates. So, if you are preparing to become an IAS, you must appear in the UPSC exam. You might already know that UPSC is the recruiting agency for the government of India. The scope of the exam is not just restricted to IAS, but you can get into All India Services, Cade, Armed Forces and even Central Services using this exam. There are a total of 24 services that you can get into with the help of the UPSC exam.
Apart from offering examination services, the UPSC also offers guidance on matters including the transfer of personnel or promotion of any executive. The headquarters of UPSC is in New Delhi, and it is reachable from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on all working days. The exams under UPSC have three stages. The first stage is the preliminary exam which has two papers with objective-type questions. The second stage is the Mains Examination, with has descriptive questions. The final stage is the personality test. You only reach the second, and the third stage of you clear the previous stage of the exam.
