B.F.Sc (Bachelor of Fisheries Science) Course

Bachelor of Fisheries is a 4-year undergraduate academic programme that includes an in-depth study of various species of Fishes. Fisheries science is a multidisciplinary course and mainly focuses on the concepts of fisheries environment, processing of fishes, fishing management and their conservation. It also involves the biological study of fishes. The B.F.Sc can be pursued as a full-time or part-time or through distance education.

Eligibility Criteria

If you are interested in pursuing the course, you must have a clear idea about the eligibility of the course.

  • You must complete your 10+2 level from a recognized board and system.
  • You have to score a minimum of 50% marks in the 12th
  • It would help if you are from the science stream. If you are from any other streams, you cannot take admission to this course.
  • You have to pass all the subjects, in the 12th If you fail in any of the subjects you are not permitted to take the admission.
  • You must have an interest in the subject.

The admission to this course is made through the entrance test. All the respective colleges will conduct their entrance test, and you have to apply in the college to which you are willing to take the admission. The applications for the entrance test can be made online. You have to fill up the application form with all relevant details.
