Sri Padmavathi Mahila Visva Vidyalayam

Sri Padmavathi Mahila Visva Vidyalayam or SPMVV is one of the leading institutes for women in India. It is located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. The university is named in honor of the goddess Sri Padmavati, who is Lord Venkateswara’s companion. This college is having more than 3,000 students. It allows students to take admission from all over Andhra Pradesh. The university is designed with an initiative to increase and promote high-level education among the women category of India.

In the initial years of independence of India, education of women was still considered taboo, so the state government of Andhra Pradesh came with an excellent idea of establishing a university that offered undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral studies related to pharmaceutical subjects. In the year 1983, the Sri Padmavathi Mahila Visva Vidyalayam was established under the Andhra Pradesh legislature to provide professional education for women in regional areas within and around the state of Andhra Pradesh.
