Lady Irwin College was found in 1932 aim to provide education to women. The college campus is located in Pragati Maidan, Delhi. The college comprises Undergraduate and Postgraduate level programs in Home Science. It has been accredited with a grade 'A` by NAAC and ranked 56th for Science by India Today 2020 and ranked 21st in India in NIRF ranking 2019. Undergraduate candidates would have the benefit of different scholarships such as the Bawa Wadhwa Scholarship, Patney Scholarship, Sunita Bai Krishan Ghai Scholarship for Excellence in Sports, and others.
Every year, more than 500 students are enrolled in UG programs, 100 in PG programs across 25 in research programs.
