The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, also known as IIT Kanpur, is a technical and research university which is located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. IIT Kanpur was established in 1959 and was among the first institutions of technology in India. Because of the precious guidance of economist John Kenneth Galbraith, IIT Kanpur became the first institute of India to offer Computer Science Education in August 1963. The university provides quality education for all post-graduate, undergraduate, and doctoral programs. The institute has attained a very essential position in the progress of Advanced Indian Technology.
