Guntur Medical College

It is one of the newer medical schools in southern India that Guntur Medical College. It may be found at Andhra Pradesh cultural epicenter, Guntur. Since its founding in 1946, when it was already well-established in pre-independent India, the institution has undergone significant changes. Beginning in 1946, work on the Guntur Medical College went underway.

Clinical training began in July 1954. In the first year, there were fifty freshman at the university. There were a total of 150 students in the class of 1960. In 1956, graduate studies in pre-clinical areas were introduced, followed by clinical studies in 1958.

Each year, 78 graduate students are accepted into the college. In addition to undergraduate and graduate education, the college also provides training for a wide variety of paramedical professionals, including laboratory technicians, laboratory assistants, pharmacists, nurses, and sanitary inspectors. Following its establishment in 1989, AP Health Science University was affiliated with APUHS (now NTRUHS), Vijayawada.
