NIT Jalandharor Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology was a regional engineering college and providing BTech programs in the engineering and computer science field. It was established in 1987 and is known for its undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral level courses in India. In 2002, this college was declared as a national institute of technology by the central government of India. Also, it is now recognized as an institute of national importance in India. There are a total of 12 departments that provide courses in different disciplines. Apart from its UG and PG courses, it has post-diploma courses in different engineering fields.

To study BTech in this college, one needs to appear for the JEE Main exam and JoSAA counseling process. Basically, the admission process of this college is entrance-based. It ensures placement of its students in top companies with lucrative packages and has a placement record of 77% in 2020.
