CLAT 2024 Exam Dates Out, Check Eligibility, Process & Pattern

CLAT 2024 Exam Date has been published by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). CLAT Application Form was made available online on July 1, 2023. The last date to fill out the CLAT registration form is November 3, 2023. Candidates can apply for the CLAT UG 2024 exam through the official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

CLAT 2024 Exam Date for UG and PG programs is December 3, 2023 as per the official notification of the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). According to the revised CLAT exam pattern, the CLAT Question Paper will comprise 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from subjects such as English, Legal aptitude, logical reasoning, maths, and general knowledge including current affairs. Except for the reduced number of questions, the CLAT syllabus and exam pattern remain unchanged.

CLAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the CLAT Eligibility Criteria before applying. Candidates can take a view of course-wise eligibility criteria which are mentioned below:

Eligibility Criteria for CLAT UG 2024

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC and ST categories).
  • Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to appear in CLAT 2024.
  • There is no age limit for appearing in CLAT 2024.
  • There is no limit on the number of attempts for CLAT.

Eligibility Criteria for CLAT PG 2024

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed Graduation in Law (3-year LLB or 5-year LLB) with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC and ST candidates).
  • Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to appear in CLAT 2024.
  • There is no age limit for appearing in CLAT 2024.
  • There is no limit on the number of attempts for CLAT.

CLAT 2024 Application Process

The stepwise CLAT Application Process is given below:

  • Filling up the Form: Once the registration is done, candidates can log in to their CLAT 2024 account. On the applicant's dashboard, they will find the link to access the application form. They must fill in all the required details in the application form accurately.
  • Uploading Documents: Candidates are required to upload necessary documents as per the guidelines provided.
  • Selecting Test Centres: Applicants will have the option to select their preferred test centers from the available choices.
  • Fee Payment and Form Submission: After completing the form filling and document uploading process, candidates must make the payment of the prescribed application fee. Once the payment is successful, they can submit the completed application form.

CLAT 2024 Application Fee

Candidates must pay the registration fee according to their respective category while completing the registration process for CLAT 2024. The CLAT 2024 registration fee for different categories is as follows:

  • General, OBC, and PwD candidates: INR 4,000
  • SC and ST candidates: INR 3,500
